The leggings are very cute and comfortable, but the waist is too big. My daughter normally wears 6-6x at Carters/Oshkosh and ended up fitting a size 4. Shown here are blue oshkosh 6/6x ankle length leggings worn over New Balance size 6x. Size 4 New Balance is on the left.

My daughter has had several pairs of these and they are great for cold weather running, ice skating and winter outdoor exercise. We had several of these when she was 6-9 years old and never had problems with knee cavities. Please note that these are athletic leggings (to absorb sweat and keep the child warm during structured exercise/sport programs). As Described. They fit my skinny 8 year old as expected and she loves them. Nice navy blue color and the ruffles on the legs are very cute. Has withstood play and repeated washing.

Fits true to size but a bit short for my tall 7 year old. She wears them with boots to make them look amazing. They are soft and comfortable. Doesn't shrink when washed. I recommend choosing a size for tall girls.

We tried these cute tights in 3 different sizes - 10/12, 14 and 16. All 3 sizes oversized the waist to varying degrees. For the record, we bought these for a petite teen of small stature, towards the end of girls size but still too small for most juniors. I think these tights will suit girls with a blockier build with almost equal hips and waists. We liked the quality and the colors on offer, but New Balance just doesn't fit.
