My 14 month old grandson cannot wear store bought shoes, even wide footed ones. We couldn't even touch the Velcro on some of the boots. These ultra wide shoes from New Balance solved our problems. It is comfortable for him to walk in shoes that do not pinch his big little feet.

My son is SO picky about shoes and he really likes them. After many, many, many other purchases and shoe returns. He hates the laces and also the integrated laces that stretch with the velcro. He has quite a wide lining, but you can't tell that from his looks. I order wide width and they are perfect.

I was looking for extra wide shoes for my son and his movable ankle and leg supports. It was very difficult for me to find a suitable one as his braces were very wide due to the movable areas. Very happy to find they fit well. The only problem was that the velcro barely went through the shoe. We also took out the insoles to make them fit better.
