We got these for our 6 year old for Christmas. Unfortunately, the rubber cord broke on January 17th. They appeared to be good shoes and my daughter liked them but I expect a brand like New Balance to be worn for much longer than a few weeks. rating stars.

Very good shoes. Looks great and fits my daughter's narrow feet well, but I had to go up her usual new Balance size. She was a size 13.5 for over 6 months (still fits) but I ordered these a size 1 and they were very small (slightly smaller than her old ones). So I sent them back and got 1.5s that fit great. She has narrow feet, so you may want to get wide feet as well if your child doesn't. They don't tighten (you'll have to cut the laces and/or put new ones in) but these are cool shoes and…

My daughter was very comfortable in these shoes. At first it was difficult for them to put them on, but after about a week they were broken enough. The soles feel very durable and I don't think they will break down as quickly as some other children's shoes. I'm not a fan of foam soles and was glad to see they didn't have them.
