I ordered these for my 1 year old son who has been walking for 2 months. I ordered a wide and it runs a bit small. I would not recommend them for a toddler just starting to walk because they are NOT flexible and were quite heavy for him. The soles had good grip but the shoes were very stiff. The tongue/collar on the heel was also too stiff and caused chafing during the test run. There was no cushioning in the sole.

My 2 year old son loves these shoes, they fit him but I'm not a big fan of them. The two main issues I have with this shoe are: 1. The velcro straps are very weak. They don't really improve the fit and loosen quickly. This makes the shoes slip off easily during active play.2. The description says black/grey, however I have looked at these shoes in different lighting conditions and compared them to other shoes of the same color and can say with relative certainty that they are not black-grey but

We've tried them in both Black/Grey (which I'll call Jet Black because it's more accurate when you see them live) and Blue. and while we both liked them, charcoal is way cooler. And the charcoal color is such that they can even pass as dark blue. double win. I love them on my 3 year old this summer with shorts.
