These shoes are actually for my 11 year old son. He started playing sports and I wanted special shoes for the sport. I've spent many hours researching boys' running shoes. They best suited his slightly wider foot. Almost all of the top rated shoes are not recommended for wider feet, with the exception of New Balance, at least according to my research. My daughter loves these shoes and I love their stylish look. After reading other reviews I ordered a full size and I'm glad I did. My daughter is a size 11-12 depending on the brand and style and I ordered her a size 12.5. Fits perfectly. Enough room for comfy socks, but not enough room for them to dangle when wearing them barefoot. They will become her closet before the start of the school year!
