comfortable running shoes

I have been wearing New Balance for many years. I bought these to replace a pair of 840v4s. I use them when I'm on the treadmill. They immediately felt comfortable. Provide good arch support. Definitely recommend them.

Ideal for individual orthopedic insoles!

Big Toe Box - I just bought custom orthotics and they have enough room for the orthotics and my feet. Very convenient. I ordered black; I will buy white. I love her!

Great for bones! at Athletic

I have narrow heels and a wide forefoot due to bunions. These shoes are comfortable and have plenty of room in the toe box. I mainly use them for walking on concrete/sidewalks as they don't have a sticky trail tread.

Pros
  • Light fit
Cons
  • Excessive price

Do you have osteoarthritis? Pass on.

These shoes are very durable. This does not affect depreciation. They have a good compensating heel or core for overpronators, but buying these shoes because you have problems with overpronation and arthritis in your knee, hip, ankle or foot doesn't help. You are too rigid. Also with shock absorbing inserts. I lost over $100 on shoes I can't wear.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Hands down the best New Balance shoes I've ever worn.

I have PTSD and my podiatrist told me to wear a sturdy running shoe along with insoles and an orthosis on the affected leg. I also work full-time, 12-hour shifts at the hospital. However, I started with 940 v3 and then upgraded to v4. They are consistently comfortable and durable shoes and no other stability shoe I have tried has been as good or better. The size fits and the sock is comfortable. My insoles and supports work great with this shoe.

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Negative present

Very comfortable motion control shoe

This is my second pair of 940s. I had to stop running because I'm old and the surgeon who replaced my knee told me I'd never do it again would. So I walk and these shoes are pretty comfortable. I buy the wide ones to accommodate the orthotics I use because the knee replacement didn't fix my flat feet. It took a few weeks to break in a new pair but my feet are unusual so it's fine. I've tried a few other motion control shoes that resulted in hip and knee pain without surgery, so I went back to…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • boring packaging

The 940 12s run very large compared to my 880 12s women's shoes.

I bought the blue shoes from American Prosthetics at the University of Iowa, they are a women's 880 v 10, size 12, width. They go well with my custom made orthotics. I bought the 940 model because I liked that they didn't have fresh foam. However, they are huge and don't fit my orthopedic insoles! I thought they would last longer because they don't have fresh foam. As you can see from the black 880v10 that I have been wearing daily since 10/20/20. It's been broken for a while! The fresh foam is
