Exactly what I was looking for!

Removed the old built-in lights for the eyes, but didn't want to go down the route of patching large holes in the ceiling. Couldn't find any mods that had a fairing wide enough to cover some of the bad sections of the ceiling but I found these and they are perfect! We don't actually use any light at all, but we installed LED bulbs, so at least we have the option. In addition, they are made of glass and fit very tightly to the ceiling. Great product, highly recommend!

Falls apart best in execution

Spiral hinges on the side slide off easily. While I put it in a lightbox. The round lid slipped off its hinge and fell to the floor, glass shattering everywhere. It took an hour to remove the pieces. Take out the jar just in case. After inserting the hinges into the lamp, check again whether the hinge is fixed laterally, return the glass to its original position and lift it. The glass was very heavy and should be plastic in my opinion, especially with the shower cover.

Easy installation for recessed lights

Used to replace a cover that has fallen off and broken in the shower. After further inspection I saw that the previous owner of the house had faked it and it was already broken. Considering the price of this new one and the ease of installation, I'm not sure why anyone would save money and install some overhead glass in the shower. Someone could have been seriously injured but luckily he fell when no one was there. If you need a replacement, use this one, it's inexpensive and extremely easy to…

Decent cover had issues

We were repainting our bathroom and needed to replace the shower light, bought this based on reviews. The lid is quite nice, the jar is quite heavy but upon opening the package I noticed that the jar was not inserted properly into the ring, instead one side was not under the bar used to hold the jar, and the class had a chip of the ring. Side. I was able to fix the glass and put it in the right place, but it took a bit of work. It was easy to put in a jar with light and looks beautiful.

Lightweight and durable for electrical equipment

I bought three of these to replace the original fixtures on a mid 80's house we recently bought. One for shower, porch and kitchen. All original fittings had broken or cracked glass and the trim was painted over. These new lights look great and cost less than $10 each. I also like the feature that there are little tabs that hold the glass top in the mount so it doesn't fall out if you pull the mount out and put it on its side or upside down. The Lexan finish doesn't look cheap and tacky because

Lexan version is STRONG!

I just received these rings and was asking if the Lexan version was "harder" before ordering. To my complete satisfaction, these rings are just as strong and should last for years. I had bought a previous set of rings from Home Depot that had been in use for about 5 years and when I was changing the lightbulb one of the plastic spring retainers broke off in my hands rendering the ring unusable. The ring became brittle with age (only 5 years old) so I was willing to pay more if the Lexan version

Exactly what I needed, so easy to install

This is exactly what I needed to replace open recessed outdoor lighting. My neighbors smoke outside like chimneys all day, and it blew into the exposed trim and seeped into my walls and subfloor. This may not stop it completely, but it will alleviate the problem. I used an LED lamp (incandescent bulbs might be too hot but I don't know) under this cover as it is an enclosed design. This cover is well sealed and fits well, fitting flush to the ceiling. It couldn't be easier to install. I'm so…

Less than the Halo equivalent

I bought one of these and one of the Halo version to replace a similar light. In the broken model, the plastic part of the bracket is torn and broken off, so that it is only held in the ceiling by one of the two side brackets. Even that bracket was cracked. As it turned out, the broken model was Nikor's. This is an important thing to keep in mind when it comes to how they come together. The metal springs that attach it to the ceiling are attached to a plastic frame, and the Halo's design is…

  • Some small things

I had to replace two of these "pads" and spend an unnecessary amount of time installing the first one. I tried to accomplish the impossible task of attaching the end of the wire to the hooks in the light jar. To deceive! Lowered the 2nd bracket down to see how it fits in! So easy. Don't even think about the hooks at the end of the wire. (They're like a locking mechanism to keep the light from falling off the ceiling!) Simply insert the wire itself into the hooks inside the jar, and when both…
