An unattractive product, an unprofitable purchase.

Poor quality camera for decent money. Accessories are expensive. Polarizing filter costs 17.000, XQD card 17.000, (64 Gb), Battery 7.000. There is no plus in the small weight of the camera. Nikon Z7 can only be used with a tripod, subject to medium quality and above. When shooting in the evening or at night, bright white dots are visible on the matrix, these are dead pixels. I don't want to spend a lot of money on this product. The processor is extremely weak for this camera and with high…

Pros
  • Using old lenses, batteries. Good stabilizer performance on original lenses, suitable for Odnoklassniki and other networks. Swivel screen
Cons
  • Very noisy matrix. Nikon officially states on its website, "Whether you're shooting movies or stills, image quality will be superb across the widest range of ISO 64-25600." The reality is just depressing. Shooting at night is simply impossible, I present a frame (enlarged) shooting from a tripod at night with little backlight at ISO 8000., in comparison with what Nikon promises. But by the standards of the Z7 ISO 8000, this value is below average. The image just doesn't work. Where is the promise? You can actually shoot with this camera at ISO no more than 400. If you need to draw shadows from RAW according to the plot, then the ISO used should be no more than 200. Focus works well in static on medium-sized objects. The focus can be fixed by pressing the "OK" button, then move the camera, moving the desired object and tracking will turn on. But if a car or a person moves, the focus does not keep up, disappears or lags behind. The processor is weak, there is not enough memory. There is no focus on the eyes, on the faces it is very poor, unstable and on motionless objects. Pointing the camera even briefly at bright objects, sunset, sunrise can disable the matrix in a second. And in a SLR camera there is a mirror that protects the matrix. Nikon Z7 is strictly forbidden to photograph sunrises, sunsets. There is no flash, which is very unusual and inconvenient, as it is not possible to use a camera for travel.

A good product, I advise you to try it.

Mirrorless, a good mirrorless, is it the best - absolutely not, a lot of things that are not quite thought out from the software side, such as the same subject tracking, designed to be an analogue of 3d tracking DSLRs, but due to unsuccessful implementation it is not usable. The camera is clearly not for dynamics, only static, I practically do not use burst shooting. You can shoot a reportage, but it's not as convenient as on the same D5, and all because of the lack of normal 3d tracking. The…

Pros
  • + matrix from D850 46mp + nice picture and DD + good autofocus + EN-EL15B holds a charge well, I usually take 2 batteries for shooting
Cons
  • - autofocus is definitely not for dynamics, although I also successfully shot a reportage on it - stupid firmware, good hardware, but bad software - one memory card
