The color is grey, but more sandy. I took a photo next to my gray pillowcases so you can see the difference. Great little everyday bag - lots of pockets and zipped compartments. I also bought aquamarine for my mom! I read in another review that some people didn't like the white lining, but I like it because it's easier to find things in the purse. I hate dark lining because then your purse literally turns into a black hole.

After loading the bag with my stuff and carrying it around a bit, I decided that a different size/shape bag would better suit my needs. In general, I really liked the bag. I ordered gray and it's not as gray as in the picture. It's a greige with a greener-beige tint than the light gray (see photos next to the grays) but is still a lovely color next to the brown straps. I love the gold accents on the bag.
