My printer doesn't recognize the cartridges after I put them in, but I'm not sure if it's the cartridges or the firmware update as both happened at the same time

This was listed for use with my Epson printer even though it's not their brand. This ink is not suitable for Epson printers. This ink (black XL) made by Epson is almost impossible to find unless you buy directly from Epson or buy all colors and non-XL black).

One was different and could not be recognized by the printer. There was always an error, I had to throw it away and buy a new one.

This is advertised as fitting Epson XP-6100 printer. Although the cartridge appears to fit in the slot provided, Epson recognizes it as a valid cartridge. Hence waste of money.

My Epson XP-6000 printer does not recognize ink cartridges at all. I had to send them back and got my money back. This part was very easy.

The black cartridge was a problem for me when trying to install it for the first time. But in the end it worked the next try. The cartridge works very well. I have an Epson XP-6000.
