The North Face Salty Dog Beanie: The Ultimate Winter Headgear for All Outdoor Enthusiasts Review

This hat fell apart after wearing less than twice. My other really salty NF, which I bought direct from NF, is many years old and still healthy. DO NOT BUY!

I wear a snug fitting 7-3/4 hat/helmet and it's a bit tight on my head. It fits, but it's a tug of war with my ears in the cold. My kid kinda requested it and fell in love with it.

I won't lie, this is the best hat I've ever had. It is very warm and adheres well to the head (which is very important with very short hair). I've experimented with all other high end brands and this one puts them all to shame.

Very pretty, looks exactly like the picture and you can tell it's well made. Softer felt material knitted on the inside instead of the outside. So basically the crease is just for beauty. However it is really warm, you definitely can't wear this indoors due to the fashion, I tried it during the day at work and I kept taking my hat off because it was too hot and my bad hat hair was being shown :-)

Very warm hat for cold days. I wouldn't wear it if it was over zero. The material feels like an almost woolly shell with a fleece lining. It is easy to care for, but the lining dries a little longer than acrylic material. I have a small/medium head (a formal hat/veil would count as small) and this fits perfectly. The color is great and goes well with my black wool coat. The only thing that bothers me, and it's my oversight, is the North Face logo, which (at least practically) cannot be removed.
