Yes, it's really good for the skin and you can feel it working. Yes, it softens your skin and you can even use it for things like sunburn. Has a cooling effect.

I have been using Noxzema for years to wake up my skin in the morning. I give him credit for fighting wrinkles with Olay oil. This is a good and reliable product.

If you're looking for the Noxzema you grew up with then this is NOT it. It is much lighter in texture and has a strong clove flavor. It's a decent cleanser and makeup remover, but not the product I grew up with in the 1950s-1970s.
