These were comfortable shoes but to my surprise the heel is hollow rubber so when you put it on (normal wear) it turns into a honeycomb and water seeps into the shoes. . Who on earth came up with or approved this design. So those perfect shoes that are all worn out are useless now. If you wear these shoes, it will happen. I assume all Nunn Bush shoes are made this way. Very disappointing.

I just checked the date of last purchase - January 2014. Both legs are walking in puddles. I turned them over and the soles under both toes were completely worn out. I wear them to work and only walk on carpet except in the parking lot. The upper stays shiny and looking brand new, but the soles have almost disappeared under my toes. Strange. The previous pair lasted about 14 months and failed in the same way. .

After wearing these shoes for a short time, I only wore them with a dress, so the return period has expired. The top fairing has started to fall off. At every point where the shoe bends while walking, the coating comes off and breaks. I didn't expect that from any shoe. I would not buy these! I was amazed at the luxurious feel and look of my new brown Nunn Bush men's loafers until today when I noticed the clear trimming was falling off the toe as I walked through the church parking lot. I've only worn these shoes half a dozen times. I wish I had read the other reviews before buying mine. I don't see any way to contact the manufacturer. Has anyone heard of shoeshine? Real leather should be treated with real shoe polish.
