We used them on a plain chocolate cake for my son's fourth birthday. It was a train style party. He loved these candlesticks so much that he still enjoys playing with them. They were the perfect accessory for a simple cake as my decorating skills are far from outstanding.

Well I wasn't expecting much. For $5 and shipping within 48 hours, I was trying to lower my expectations. I was positively surprised! You are damn cute! Yes, they are plastic. And yes, they are not designed for real trains. But they make a good cake decoration, my son loved them and was delighted to be able to blow out four separate candles, one in each carriage. I would definitely buy them again!

Cute decoration for a railway theme party! Got this for my son's birthday cupcakes and it worked out great in terms of size. If you have a big cake, it may seem too small. Cars stick together, but not everything is so good, so be sure to stick them in the icing. I love that the candles are included, but I had to press them firmly into the holes to keep them straight. Overall I love it and would recommend them for a cupcake or cupcakes!

Perfect for my son's train lover's birthday party. It holds candles well and is easy to clean after use (by dipping in glaze). My son enjoys playing with it (the wheels work) and puts it in his bag. The only thing is that the tops of the wagons come off (not very easily, but definitely when thrown) so this can be a choking hazard for small children or a dramatic moment for those kids who like things for free.

Great value for money. Used for my son's birthday. Tip: Melt some candle (a drop) into the draw and then put the candle in so that it sticks well and doesn't fall out. My son loves trains like many of his peers. So I grabbed them when I saw them here because I knew he would love them for his third birthday. And he really loved her. In fact, after blowing out the candles, he tried to play with them. It upset him a little because couples are terrible so cars don't stay together because they're not toys.
