Our children have started sharpening pencils on our lathe. They received several orders and wanted a good bag for them. They are simple and protect them without spending too much.

There are two problems with these tubes. First, the caps don't stay inside. The weight of the handle is enough to drop the cap simply by picking up the tube. Second, they are a bit short and don't show the full nib (based on a standard Gatsby/Sierra type nib). Of course I use them for pens. but I can't think of any use for a pipe where the ends won't stay in place.

I like test tubes and think they fit in all small sets. Don't try to use them with larger sets (cigar handle styles, PSI steampunk, "bolt-lock" etc.). You'll need about another 1/4 inch diameter to handle the cigar handle. There is a small piece of foam on top of each Cap Note that the caps are a little loose so it's a good idea to put some tape around each cap (foam) is approximately 123mm, 4 55/64 inches.
