This product is not a bun! I have 2 girls who dance and bought them to make a light bun for their classes and solo concert. Didn't fit me. I had a hard time straightening my hair after putting it up. The blonde color was more of a platinum, almost white. Not a bronze but a natural golden blonde as I expected. They might work if you have hair extensions but they didn't seem to hold my hair.

I bought this to use for my 4 year old daughter's first ballet recital. She has thin baby hair and IT WORKS! He stayed in place for hours, running and dancing! I have fine hair and was able to use the same bun maker with no problem. I even slept in mine and woke up with the perfect bun. My 6 year old daughter has wavy hair. A bun picker was working, but she was pushing her limits because she had so much hair. We used two for two mini buns and it was AMAZING!

My 6 year old daughter has just started ballet and needs a bun for class. That works great! I tie her hair in a ponytail, then pull it up, twist it and tie it in a bun. I'll have to teach my husband how to use it, which should be pretty easy as there will be a few classes and I won't be home to finish it. Hair reaching mid-back, fine to moderately thick. I'm not sure how it will work on girls with very very thick hair, but for us it's a life saver!

I tried them based on the reviews I read so I decided to pay in advance. I first bought them in the standard adult size. I have medium length hair. They worked but were too big for my fine hair. My daughters have long, thick hair and lots of it and styled their hair perfectly and quickly. It looked a lot better than her usual scruffy look. I ordered the kids and they fit me perfectly. I bought for my 5 year old's dance class. It falls, and it's not solid enough for that unless you add extra rivets etc. It's basically a slap bracelet. I personally found it more cumbersome than simply tying them into a knot by hand and securing with a hair tie. May be good for other purposes but not recommended for dancing.

My 5 year old has very long and thick hair so it was a bit more difficult to use than the longer ones. Overall, they're still very easy to use and look great every time. Just make a ponytail, put your hair in between, twist and secure in a circle. They held up well and there was no wear at the end of the season.
