Five Stars - SLR Lenses

Worked exactly as intended. Widely opens the field of view at the 14mm end and focuses two to three inches from the lens. It will be an interesting addition to wide-angle macro photography.

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Annoys

Not Real Fisheye - SLR Camera Lenses

The angle of the lens is not a real fisheye in my opinion - the field of view is only about 120 degrees (as stated by other reviews). It really isn't wide enough to create a fisheye effect in most situations. Since purchasing it, I haven't even bothered to put it in my gear bag when going to location.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Blank

very shaky when attached to lens

I have just received this fisheye adapter from Olympus for my new PEN E-PM1 compact camera. I'm packing the adapter to go back to Revain. When attaching to the front of the lens with a bayonet mount, the adapter shakes a lot. Because of this, my new camera looks like a piece of junk. I'll buy one of the cheaper fakes and see if it's better.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • No paint required

Good cheap fisheye solution

Works well. This is my first fisheye and it works as expected. It's a lot heavier than I thought and gets quite bulky when attached to a lens so be careful. I'll probably end up switching it to the new Samyang because I think manual focus would be useful, but it's definitely a working and affordable fisheye solution.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Not far enough in lenses

This lens only has a 0.74x multiplier which is barely noticeable. If you need autofocus that badly, go for it. It delivers what it advertised: it gives you a fish-eye effect, but as I mentioned, it's not wide enough. Those who don't mind manual focusing are better off with the Rokinon 7.5mm, which is a better buy in the long run. I have one and didn't like it. Looking for sale. Update: I sold it. I still have my Rokinon Fisheye and I really like it.

Good but not very wide

This converter can make the 14-42 II lens much wider, but not wide enough to be called a true fisheye (120 degrees instead of 180). However, it does not have the price of a true fish eye. You get what you pay for. This is visually acceptable. However, some interesting effects can be created. I posted three photos for you: picasaweb.google.com/108560076633280602914/OlympusFCONP01FisheyeConverter?authuser=0&feat=directlinkEDIT: I am trying to post links again. Are they banned, even for…

Inexpensive and high quality

FOR THE MONEY, this is a good fisheye. Make sure you have a Mark II lens and the converter fits easily. Also, it slips easily under the right circumstances. It's not flimsy or poorly made per se, but the lens locking mechanism isn't the best. There's a slight wobble on the fish eye that's ONLY noticeable when you try to shake it off. It won't affect your photos, but I have to point that out. It's pretty tight but should have a lock that doesn't allow him to move. I would buy it again as the…

Fun converter for 14-42mm II lens only

Designed for 14-42mm II and II-R lens ONLY, not for 14-42mm version 1 lens It is visually excellent but a bit heavy so handle with care. It's very sharp in the center but a bit soft around the edges at maximum aperture; When you stop, it's better at the edges. I gave it 5 stars because it does what it's supposed to do very well. According to Olympus, this is a .74x converter. Because it's a fisheye lens with traditional barrel distortion, its field of view is approximately 120 degrees. It's not
