Does not fit, seal defective.

Hinge interferes and gasket material is incompatible with gasoline. A few days after installation with no loop. I unclipped the lid and it popped out. I found that the seal was swollen and I couldn't put the cap back on. I removed the gasket and made my own to fit the lid. This is BS.

Replacement cap required

I'm a keen off-road enthusiast so I have some plastic gas canisters for my off-road toys. The small black vent cap on it was worn, split, cracked and unusable. The plastic gas cylinders were in good condition but the vent cap was in poor condition. The replacement parts were exactly the same as the original bottles and reset the bottles so I could keep using them without having to buy a whole gas bottle.

This cap will not fit the Rubbermaid Gott gas cylinder with washer included

This cap will not fit the Rubbermaid Gott gas cylinder with washer included. The washer is too thick and will not grip the threads. Apparently the puck was added after someone complained. 2 solutions1. Remove the washer together and use without the washer.2. Cut a round circle of thin, gas-resistant rubber (e.g. silicone) and insert it into the top of the cap.
