Worked well - saved my deposit!

Works great. I had a burn on my carpet that was about an inch wide and reached to the pillow. I didn't have any leftovers so I grabbed a piece from the back of the closet. In the "after" photo you can tell there is a replacement, but I don't think you would even notice it unless you were specifically looking for it, and I think that's primarily due to the fact that the old carpet is worn (probably 9-10 years old, removable apartment carpet), and the replacement is from a worn part of the…

Great idea - not really good

The product easily cuts the carpet. However, pasting it into a damaged location still shows that the patch has been installed. The problem is that the fibers don't match. When the rug is sewn together, the backing is trimmed to prevent the fibers from "popping open". So the best way to repair a damaged section of carpet is to cut out a square section to allow the fibers to mix.

The low ratings are wrong.

Works great. I don't know what the claim is. The knives are firmly screwed on, but can be easily removed and adjusted. The blades cut very easily and do not break. Perhaps the previous reviews didn't bring them back in the same direction. I used a hot glue gun instead of their caulk since that's what most DIY videos use. I recommend this product for minor carpet repairs. With some wear, the rug should fit perfectly. It's hard to spot renovated places if you don't know where to look.

  • Good product for the price

Will not work for me with printer parts and supplies

I bought this to try and cut a perfect circle around a hole in my carpet so I can patch it. I bought it and watched several how-to videos. I installed the blades as instructed, but when I tried to cut a circle on the rug it just caught and pulled, and with each push it bent the tine in half, which should help hold the rug in place . I ended up with a very uneven uneven circle that didn't push through the carpet in all parts of the circle. That pretty much defeated the objective and I got it…
