I purchased a 28" hard case that does not have an integrated TSA lock and after researching locks I found this and ordered it. .I have to say the lock seems strong and the installation was easy for me and the result looks great and I just hope it's strong and keeps my stuff safe.

Easy installation. I put a really strong 3m double sided foam tape behind the lock for extra stability and to support the 2 large threaded screws cutting into the plastic. I wish the screws were metal but oh well. This is not for security, just to prevent luggage from being accidentally opened.

My luggage was accidentally taken by someone else and returned with a completely broken lock when they tried to pry it open. This is an exact replacement and took less than 5 minutes to change the lock with only 2 screws to secure. The suitcase is like new again. The lock is well made and works like the original from Samsonite.

Installation was difficult and no instructions were provided. For installation you need to drill a hole for the screws. I prefer precision so any guidance would be helpful. After installation I found that my zippers were too big for the locking mechanism. I tested it before installing it and it seems to work. After that, it no longer blocks properly. At the moment it is a decoration. Instructions would be nice here too. Be sure to compare your zipper loop.

Your personal code must be set before you can lock the zip handles in the lock. I think I would leave the lock unlocked (everyone will see my combination) so now I need to set my password so I can lock the zipper pulls. They could have done a better job in the locking department, I wouldn't have bought 4 of these locks if I had known that little locking detail before buying.
