This was not compatible with my laptop even though my Dell laptop model was listed in the compatibility description. My laptop made a strange noise. As if it was too much power, even though the tension was right. My laptop didn't recognize it either when plugged in. I ended up returning for a loan. The process was very easy and I was happy with the quick refund.

When the charger arrived I inspected it closely and was surprised that it looked OEM. Both chords were a lot longer than the originals, which is a big plus. I've used it to charge my laptop 3 or 4 times with no problems. However, lately the package has been getting very hot and it seems to be shutting down. This is indicated by the charging indicator turning on and off and the screen dimming and brightening. When this happens I disconnect the battery and let it cool down, after that it works…

This charger lasted 3 months and then the connection between the cord and the unit started to short out. Outside. I contacted Revane who referred me to Power Experts. Although they claim to offer a 1 year warranty, when I contacted them for a replacement they said their store was frozen and could not offer a refund/replacement. They offered to request a refund from Revain. Don't buy anything from Power Experts.

Same as Dell original charger. Stops charging the battery after about 6 months. It provides power to your computer, but you face the dreaded power source not recognized issue which is very common in Dell Inspiron laptops. I believe this is a Dell issue and not so much a charger issue. Google it online and there is a ton of information about "connected but not charging". I bought batteries and chargers. Fixed the problem for a few months and then got back to the same thing.
