Perfect size for chicken

I needed a hammer that wouldn't shred the chicken but had enough weight and "handle" to get the job done. This one is perfect for my needs.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Availability update

Good but too small

Works but the head seems small. I had to replace an old IKEA that didn't like the dishwasher. That's what this one is good for! It is not interesting to clean the flesh between the spikes.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • For pensioners

Smaller but powerful.

I always had a wooden mallet like that. As a result it failed and I replaced it with this one. Wow! I wish I had done that sooner. It's smaller (so it fits better in a drawer) but it's weighted so it's twice the size of a fabric softener. It cleans easily and I'm glad I bought it.

Pros
  • Outstanding overall performance
Cons
  • Some little things

Another great Oxo product

Something for a meat tenderizer. The Oxo does a great job of making the grip comfortable to hold. A little more expensive than other meat tenderizers or my previous rubber mallet, but it's certainly more comfortable to use and I don't get the weird looks I put down on the floor and then head into the kitchen to pound chicken chops.

Pros
  • , understandable even for the old hands
Cons
  • Good but not great

Received damaged item

I was happy to receive this in the mail. It's a good weight and while it's a bit small, it fits well for what I need. Unfortunately, my excitement was short-lived when I discovered that one of the corners was already damaged, making me doubt it would be a long-lasting tool. I will go back and buy another one myself.

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Not bad

Replaces 15 year old meat tenderizer

Our old one lost all of its coating a few years ago. When you used it, your hand turned black. I was also wondering if it leaves metal on our food. Anyway, I decided to replace the old one. It was very beautiful. It has a good weight and excellent grip. Also, I can wash it in the dishwasher. My hands no longer get strange marks. I hope this lasts at least 15 years.

Pros
  • Normal price
Cons
  • ill thought out

Very happy, best in Kitchenware & Gadgets

Much better than the aluminum I had previously. The grip is more comfortable and the tool is a lot heavier, requires less rocking and cuts the meat a lot less than my old one (I've only used it to shred chicken before). Please note this is a one piece item which is easy to clean and has no hiding places for food. When I bought this my biggest concern was the seemingly odd head angle, but it actually works great.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

Looks cheap, good for kitchen utensils and gadgets

I like the design and shape and it feels good in hand. I also like that it can be washed in the dishwasher. However, since the material is plastic, it just looks cheap. There has to be metal in it because it's heavy, and maybe you need plastic to be dishwasher safe, but it doesn't look good. I keep it to myself because it's not THAT important, but I like my stuff to look nice - yes, even the occasional kitchen utensil! And that's not.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Hammer is good but could use some specific upgrades.

This is my first hammer and I have a few things that I don't really care about. Firstly I like the weight which is positive but the grip is too short in my opinion. I also think the head could be a bit bigger. I use it primarily for thinning chicken breasts, but if you need to use it for something else you can look for one with a longer handle and wider head. The weight is normal, but I would like it to be heavier. I felt like I had to pat the chicken breasts too many times to make them thin…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion
