I was hoping we could improve our situation with plastic fruit and vegetable containers. We have carrots, snow peas, green beans, lettuce, grapes and blueberries in our fridge every week, but by the end of the week it gets a little ugly. It's hard enough to get my family to eat veggies without getting slimy by the end of the week. These new containers were great! No vegetables get slimy! When my husband and I found them we were SO glad to have them! They look very stylish and are great for storing vegetables, fruits and leafy greens. Then why 3 stars? Like other reviewers, I unfortunately have to confirm that they break easily and are brittle. We never dropped them and always hand washed them. Two of them got huge cracks I think just because they were lowered so deep. Lids are also unreliable, which they don't claim to be, but they're certainly easily lost.

Save money and buy the Rubbermaid version. We bought this version and the Rubbermaid version for comparison. A week ago filled with romaine lettuce and spinach. The lettuce was bad after 3 days at OXO, but by day 7 at Rubbermaid it was still great. Also, the OXO lid doesn't click and was full of condensation, while the Rubbermaid lid closes securely and we've had no condensation so far. Also, OXO requires you to change your filter every 90 days, and Rubbermaid never requires you to change it…

I was dying to love this product 100%. The Food Keeper looks just like the pictures on Revain and after a few months of use it is actually keeping food fresher for longer. I'm not sure if it's because of the charcoal filters or because it has vents you can open and close to control humidity and the interior space is elevated to prevent food from contacting condensation come. Whatever it is, it seems to keep our salad fresher for longer. It also looks beautiful, combining veggies in one place…
