Type of review

My bathtub drain is slow to drain when it's clogged. This OXO drain plug works very well as advertised. I love that it's weighted so it really stays in place! I even stripped the tub latch mechanism off to see if it would hold a good seal. and it keeps it leaking even without the help of a bath "plug"! And the little suction cup on the silicone's tongue is very handy to attach it to your tub wall or tile when you're done! I always read reviews before buying, so I hope this review is helpful to…

So I don't bathe.

That's right. I don't have a bathroom But my kids love the bath. I also have a huge collection of bath bombs, most of them from lush and since I don't have a bath they just overflow my copper basket in the corner of my shelf. What should a girl do. Paste my redneck idea. I bought a 50 gallon bucket to fill with water and make a bath. It worked like a CHARM until I had to drain it. 100 pounds of water and a plastic tub on a flat shower floor is not okay. My husband made fun of my idea for a…

High quality bath stopper

I bought this stopper to use as a bath stopper for my little daughter. The plug on the tub is broken, so this is perfect for us. I've only used this stopper a few times but so far so good. It is not sucked in around the drain but rests on top of the drain under the weight of the bath water. The clasp seems to be as tight as it can be and I don't think water leaks out when bathing. It doesn't take much effort to remove the cork, which is both good and bad. My 9 month old quickly figured out how…

I am so disappointed after reading all the good reviews

I am so disappointed after reading all the good reviews. It doesn't work well for baths with my 10 month old or 3 year old. Both inevitably push it against the drain when playing in the tub and don't even play with the cork. This thing slides so easily that I keep reaching out and leveling it. Several times I could hear the water slowly draining away and we lost a lot of water. Another problem occurs when you fill the tub: the water running out of the spout pushes that plug out of the drain…

Turned my shower on wheels into a small bathtub.

It was the perfect solution for our new motorhome. Our old van had a 1/2 bath for shaving her legs and for our little one to wash off the dirt while she relaxed a little on the road before bed. Our new van shower featured a tall sink, but the drain had to be plugged to hold a small amount of water and create a shallow bath. I tried a few other plugs that didn't work and eventually started sticking a rag down the drain to unclog it, but it didn't last long. I was looking for overflow plugs and…

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • It was possible to choose a newer model

This drain plug does exactly what it was designed to do. Recently, two weeks apart, we were hit by heavy snowstorms in the Northeast. Both times the power went out. The water source is our well, and without electricity we have no water to flush the toilets. The solution is to fill the tub with water and pour it into the toilet bowl so you can flush the water. During the first storm I used an old bath plug that I probably bought at one of the big stores. Within hours the bathroom was empty. I…

Works as intended but there are a few things to note

Overall this is a good drain plug but there are a few factors to note. First, it doesn't work by suction, although there is a small suction cup in the ledge that holds the item in place. It works by lying flat against the weight of the water above. This dynamic means that if you already have a faulty expiration mechanism, you will likely need to remove it before using this article. It will not work if applied to pre-existing metal parts. It needs to lie perfectly flat as there is no bowl-like…

They Had a Job: Bathroom Accessories

First off, let me say that I rarely, if ever, give a bad review. But after my whole "bath" of water just went down the drain, I just CAN'T take this thing anymore, and I feel like I have to do my part to warn my comrades. You must be able to do one thing - stop the flow of water. I bought it to bathe my baby in the sink. I use it in both the sink and the kitchen sink. And if you touch it even lightly, or if you fill the sink with water (creating weight on the cork), it will flex under pressure…
