Tiny, beautiful, pleasant to use, very high quality results.

In Europe this model I have is called the NV-GS5 but is otherwise identical. I've had them for several months now. I bought them after a lot of research and after giving up "vertical" cameras because they are very difficult to hold in a stable position. This little Panasonic is still very small (and cute) but you have a chance to keep it sturdy enough. However, even with the image stabilizer activated, you still need a tripod to get the most out of the 10x optical zoom. Panasonic's main selling

Superb ultra compact digital camcorder

The PVDC252 wasn't on my Christmas list as I was looking at vertical camcorders, specifically the JVC GRDVM76U. Then I happened to see the PVDC252 in an electronics store and it really caught my attention. The silver framed lens looked very nice, along with the cold shoe mount and of course the price caught my eye. It had everything that was in the JVC, just in the traditional "horizontal" design.
