Cool camera, but I didn't get everything that was advertised. Never got 2 extra batteries. I won't try to dispute it because I see it's going nowhere.

Last year I lost my G7 on a trip to Hong Kong. I've been looking for a replacement for a long time and found this and G9. Because of the price difference, I took the G85. Well, the improvement over the G7 is obvious. I just love the Lumix range. It's definitely worth the price even though the model is 3 years old, but for me it's still better than some of the current competitors.

My son is just starting out in photography while studying media communications. His professor recommended this old but friendly model because of the built-in stabilizer (he has a slight essential tremor). He loved it. It was expected that some or all of the extras in such a kit could be of lower quality, but he was particularly impressed with the tripod. All in all a happy camper.

Overall good package. The camera works fine. Backpack made of cheap material but does the job. The light is useful for an extra camera flash but NOT for video. The tripod works well. Additional batteries and the Wasabi Power charger are compatible with the camera. BUT DO NOT BUY A 3 YEAR PROTECTION PLAN. Panasonic already gives a 3-year guarantee on the camera packaging.
