Type of review

I love retro style and comfort. particularly liked them for the price and the audio for work calls was acceptable (although not great for a noisy environment it picked up everything. HOWEVER the base exploded or so after 8 weeks of normal use. Now all the songs sound like old ones - Timey Gramophone :' ( Very sad. 3 stars only because they look great and are comfortable. Panasonic: Please make them sound better with a better mic, I want to love them!

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Sad device

Inexpensive wireless headphones

I don't have many headphones and I'm not a real music lover. They were chosen based on online reviews and history with Panasonic. Lightweight like a retro design, good battery life, easy pairing with iPad and phone via Bluetooth. The sound is perfect for everyday everyday listening when you want some privacy or don't want to disturb other family members. It's not really very foldable or portable like many phones, but it's also a bit more durable. I like them but if you want better sound quality

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Awkward

Do not buy "refurbished " or "used "

The low rating is NOT for the Panasonic headphones but specifically for the "refurbished" used sets, which I received from Revain camp. I had a brand new pair just like this and lost them at Las Vegas airport the same day I received them. So I ordered them from Amazon to fill the void in my heart. Revane should be ashamed. Someone ABUSES them with heavy bass and high volume. You will be blown up. Even at 60% volume, they hum and pant. The audio is blurry. Someone just destroyed them and Amazon…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Minor flaws

Bluetooth is excellent, the sound quality suffers a bit.

I was also a big fan of the wired versions of these headsets and after mine was stolen about a year ago I was looking for a new pair which are now mostly unavailable. They have the same amazing style, but the cups are smaller than the previous model and the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired. Not too surprised as it was supposed to be sent by air over BT. If you're new to these types of headphones, get them. Wireless is a treat from hell and a great fit. Just don't expect quality sound…

Please send cable headphones

I've been using RP-HTX7 headphones for ages and buy a spare pair about every four years when they break. When my last pair broke I was devastated to see that they had been discontinued. Thought I'd give these a try in the hopes they would be comparable, just with Bluetooth instead of a wired connection. Not even close. The sound quality is so shockingly bad that it's almost impossible to hear the music. The sound quality is better than the laptop's built-in speakers than these. I'm a…

Easy to use and set up but very little documentation

I know it's just headphones, how much documentation do you need? How about I mention that my intended use of connecting to a computer is for them, you may need to tell Windows yourself to connect to them, and for me and my very special copy of Windows ( seems more buggy than any copy of Windows I've ever heard of, or maybe I'm just lucky I got to know them all?), every time I turn them on and want to use them, I have to say that Windows connected to headphones. I have no idea why it can't do…

I must think about it.

I have been using the RP-HTX7-W1 for many years, 8 years of my life to be exact, so the idea of replacing it was very difficult even though the replacement was updated. For me, the previous model has unmatched sound quality and they were extremely comfortable, but! I had a recurring problem, the famous broken cable, soooo, I said it's time to change them, I can tell you that this is my first day with the new model and I noticed that the sound quality is not the same is like the previous model…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Nothing

Inconspicuous, unworthy successor to RP-HTX7-W1

As an audio professional, I was one of the biggest fans of the legendary RP-HTX7-W1 (I bought 4 pieces, I liked them so much ) and I am completely unimpressed with the quality of these headphones for a number of reasons. Build quality is even slightly better than their wired predecessors, and they offer above-average convenience. The only minor issue with the build is that you have to hold down the power button for three seconds to turn it on instead of just using the switch. A minor annoyance…
