I am so glad I bought this item. I was on vacation in the forest by the lake and only one night I forgot to put it on. That was the only time I was bitten. I recommend this product to everyone.

I had high hopes for this product. It's a nice bracelet and the smell isn't too strong. But I got bitten a few times while wearing it. It was really funny because I even saw one of them land on my arm about five inches from the bracelet and bit me.

The area of the screen where the pellet needs to be inserted is so narrow that the first time you try to insert the screen, broke pellet included in the bracelet. Flat balls are too big for the hole. I had to use a sharp knife to make it smaller.

To be honest I'm not sure if they work or not. The reason for this is that when I used it on a recent hike I usually got doused too. They look very cool and are comfortable. On my next trip, I'll do more testing to see if that alone will keep bloodthirsty mothers away from me.

That's why I gave this item 5 stars. It really worked! We took them to Belize and it worked great. I will also say that I abused this thing. I kept forgetting to take them off when I jumped into the sea, once I left them in the sun. I would suggest making one that fits the ankles. Some people may not like the strong smell. Overcome it to make it work.

I attract mosquitoes. So I'm smart enough to know that this bracelet alone won't work for me in the evening or at dusk when mosquitoes are prevalent. It's great to finally find a product that actually protects against bites. It comes in a comfortable, non-stinging sports band. It really works - it comes from a person who is 100% a mosquito baiter. I know different substances affect different body chemistry, but if you're like me it's worth a try. Just ordered this as a second order - I can do wrist and ankle and get full body coverage.
