Personna Double Razor Blades Wrapper Review

This used to be a great product. Each blade bore the brand's logo, was equally sharp and perfectly shaved. The last time I bought two packs of these I was surprised to see that the blades are no longer branded. But I was even more surprised that about half of them are of poor quality. The good ones are good, but the bad ones are almost painful to rub across your face. This is my second purchase of 100 Personna Double Blade Blades. The blades when first bought were equally sharp and well shaved. This is not the case with the blades from the second purchase. One side of the blade shaves as well as I remember from the first purchase. The other side pulls and tears so hard that it becomes unusable.

These are by far my favorite blades. They are sharp and very smooth! They are enough for about 3 or 4 (three shaves) depending on the hair type. YMMV All men's hair is different, mine is very very coarse so everything under the face fades before the second pass. Astra, Personna and Feather are the best for me.

I've tried almost every good razor blade and for my beard these blades are the best. I can comfortably shave 3 times on each side compared to feather blades that only shave twice on each side. On the third shave, Feather begins to pull. Most other blades only give 1 or 2 (Astra) shaves before becoming dull. I use a Feather Steel razor and I recommend it despite the high price, it keeps the blade very precise and shaves completely without nicks.

These special Personna razor blades are (to my knowledge) the same "laby blue" blades that were previously packaged in the blue box. I've shaved with single blade razors, injectors, vintage cartridge razors and rare safety razors. When it comes to double edge safety razors I specifically use Personna Lab Blue blades, on my skin they are sharp but not too sharp and very smooth.
