This kit must accompany the door. Especially when installing in a wall through a 6 inch inside-out installation, we needed sealing tape. Maybe we should buy an extension tunnel, but we can do without it. The gullwing doors confused my little chihuahuas at first but now they get it.

Not a bad set but I found it rather useless. With proper sealing no extra foam was needed in our case, perhaps this might help if you live in extreme weather or if you don't already have tools in your house, but in our case I felt it was a needless money spent. I already had a drill and sealant (at a much lower price).

Cheap kit save money! The kit is poorly assembled and consists of items costing around $2 (foam is cheap, everyone has a drill). My dog door was expertly installed on site and the contractor advised me to return it immediately which is a waste of money and no need to properly install a through wall kit.

This was not intended for the dog door I bought to match my sliding door. Pretty annoying as it was showing as an included item. There wasn't enough sealant - I think you could buy it cheaper at a hardware store. PLUS the tape you wrapped the weather strip with seems to have always been there. VERY difficult to remove without destroying the weatherstrip.

Bought to fit sliding door that had dog door attached and it was in a package with item + item etc. There was no extra weather protection for the long side of the door , but for the actual dog door. I may have read it wrong but it was frustrating and confusing. Why does it need to be packaged with a door insert that doesn't require it? It didn't make much sense and I ended up giving away the glue. The extra drill came in handy.
