PETZL Petzl Caritool P42 M Review

I use a home/car key clip to keep my keys on my bag. First I used the Black Diamond clip which is all gray but then I found a clip with a yellow tint that I like better. I've also used my Black Diamond for ice climbing, but since I didn't get it until the summer, I haven't tried strapping on my ice tools yet.

These things are surprisingly powerful. I have no problem attaching rope grabs to it when flying around the site. They'll also fit a Milwaukee punch or drill for when you need your hands free. I was worried they wouldn't, but despite the snug fit, power tools fit and won't fall out when hanging high and tapping. Anyway, this metal lady agrees.

Ever since I've used them, I can't imagine them ice climbing. Each of these holds six bolts, so two holders can handle almost any incline I would climb. While these are great, from time to time the gate will appear or disappear entirely as you spin. I had to change about one a season. The aluminum version of this could be a winner. I have several holders without goals. If anyone knows where I can find a replacement gate I can get it up and running again.
