They are not made of stainless steel

Most stainless steel parts are not magnetically attracted. These balls are highly magnetic and are not made of stainless steel. They rust quickly in water. Not useful for my application. Beware!

Pros
  • Bearing
Cons
  • Not automatic

Good for mixing colors

Not as thick as I need but that's my fault I just have to use more than I intended. I use them for mixing modeling paints, they give me a larger size as they are great for my use.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Not sure

Do not use them on NEW Linear Guides

They actually measure 2.37-2.38mm correctly with a Mitutoyo caliper. Cheap Chinese linear rails use 2.33-2.37 balls depending on how worn/calculated their tools are when machining the rails. Use them for a great glide after the original rails and balls wear out and sag. These are great balls, but they will mess with cheap off-the-shelf parts waiting for tight tolerances.

Pros
  • Precision Balls
Cons
  • Expensive
