You get what you pay for

Lasts two consecutive months without a break. All incandescent bulbs are insanely expensive. However, they appear to be very well made. The glass is thick and durable.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Periodicity

We needed some heat in our bathrooms but were afraid the fixtures wouldn't take the 240 watt lightbulbs. These lower wattage bulbs are just the ticket as they create a heat arc across the ceiling and keep our small bathrooms comfortably warm.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Expensive

Bathroom use is best in lightbulbs

I have a holder for two of these lightbulbs. They add a pleasant warmth just outside of the bath/shower. They also brighten up the room with light when turned on. I have had good experiences with the long service life of these lamps. Initially, the boxes suggested they were good for heating livestock in winter. I don't normally put myself in that category, but I love doing it because they do us just as well!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

In an environment like bathroom

This heat lamp emits infrared heat rays and bright white light and is a really thick glass. Most infrared lamps appear red and are made of thin glass. In an environment like a bathroom where water can get on the bulb, a thick glass bulb should work much better. You can get a thin red glass bulb with a Teflon sleeve, but they're much more expensive and don't emit white light along with infrared.

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • little things

Heat Lamp Best Heat in Bulbs

I needed to replace 2 lightbulbs in my bathroom ceiling. I have an "old" ceiling heater and it needs incandescent bulbs to work. They're not as big as I'd like (it's my fault for not measuring!) but they fit and work. The heat isn't strong but they provide a nice warmth that feels good when you get out of the shower on a cold morning! The price was good, they work well and I just hope they last!

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Requires Socket
