The pressure transducer only worked when pressure was applied OUTSIDE the teeth. My dentist told me I needed to buy a pressure sensing electric toothbrush so I wouldn't brush my gums too often, so I went with what I thought was quality. However, it didn't work. The pressure sensor only worked away from the teeth, no pressure on the teeth worked making the item unusable.

Updated my review: This toothbrush will not charge now. Not only did it perform less than any previous Sonicare I've had, it also had a shorter overall lifespan before it gave up the ghost. Great toothbrush at a reasonable price. I used to have a Sonicare clear diamond, but when it ran out I decided not to spend another $200. I tried this brush and was satisfied. The battery life is great so I don't have to plug it into a charger and it cleans just as well as a more expensive brush.
