X-tremeVision not very good

I recently restored the headlight housings on my 2002 Tacoma. The case looks great and clear but the light isn't that bright due to the 18 year old bulbs so I bought these X-tremeVision pairs. Well to my disappointment they aren't as bright. I was expecting the X-treme version to be a lot brighter than my 18 year old pair but probably not as they are newer. I'm really disappointed in them and...they aren't that cheap.

It's not worth it; Only served 1 year

True, they are much brighter than ordinary lamps. But the brightness comes at the expense of durability. The ones that came with my CR-V 04 only lasted a year. Both burned down one after the other. I think this product is ephemeral throughout. I don't think they cost $33. I got them as a replacement from Voltage Automotive, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B657ZVM, who I haven't heard of. The brightness is about the same. The price was about 1/3. I am very happy with it. I will never go to Phillips

Much brighter than the Sylvania bulbs they replaced

I bought these to replace the Sylvania Silver bulbs I bought a year earlier. I've never been happier with the brightness of the Sylvania bulbs, but they were brighter than the standard bulbs I replaced. Less than a year later, however, it was becoming harder to see while driving at night, particularly on dark dual carriageways in rural areas. I replaced these lamps with Philips lamps and was very satisfied. We'll see how durable they are, but so far I really like them. The fact that they were…

Better Than Xtremes

They replaced Xtreme Power bulbs that are no longer available. Only one blew out so I put one in for comparison. Yes, they say switch two at a time, but that might be to sell more bulbs. Who knows, maybe I met the one that burned out during installation, which shortened its lifespan. But I digress. These bulbs are slightly brighter than the Xtremes. I wouldn't say 20% as Xtremes were listed at 80%. But these are great lamps and I hope they last a long time. Xtremes lasted 4 years. But they were

Should have gotten these years ago!

I thought my 2008 Toyota Highlander's poor light was due to my headlight covers fogging up with age (Isn't it!). It turned out to be very old lightbulbs. I'm 61 years old and I replaced these lightbulbs in less than 10 minutes. Frivolous; no tools required. I should have gotten them years ago! What an incredible difference. And if they only last a few years, I'll just buy them again. They don't do ANYTHING the way they used to (whatever they are) anymore, so I don't expect these $29 lightbulbs…

Nice improvement but the bulbs don't last long

I liked the light these bulbs give off, it was a big improvement over the factory bulbs. Be careful though, they don't last very long. Mine blew up after 11 months. I contacted the seller and he quickly sent me a replacement which was great. After about 12 months, one of the replacement parts burned out. I contacted the seller again and he said that the Revains warranty covers the original bulbs for 12 months but the manufacturers warranty is only 3 months. The seller agreed to a second…

Decent brightness with poor durability

Addendum to original review: The second set of these bulbs lasted pretty much exactly 10 months, then both low beams burned out at the same time. During that time I've driven about 10,000 miles and don't leave my headlights on during the day except in inclement weather or on a bumpy dual carriageway. I don't think I will buy them again. The bulbs are lighter and whiter than the originals, but not by much. For the price, I'm happy with the brightness. The main problem, however, is the durability

You're trading lamp life for brightness, but it's worth it!

I bought these Philips bulbs on the recommendation of the auto headlight forum. These lamps are of good quality. They are made in Poland and are significantly brighter than the standard Korean halogen bulbs they have replaced. I see many reviews complaining about the short lamp life but that is the nature of brighter lamps. Bright light bulbs have a shorter lifespan. If you buy a regular or long life bulb it will last a long time, maybe years, but will be much dimmer and won't work as well as…
