Overall a good bag. However, note one important caveat: it only holds two Bordeaux-style bottles. It doesn't go well with a bottle of Bordeaux and a bottle of Champagne, or a bottle of Champagne and a bottle of Burgundy. Even two bottles of burgundy fit very tightly together which can end up scratching your labels. Obviously, two bottles of champagne are impossible. So it is very limited in its usefulness. Also, there is no inside or outside pocket for corkscrews, car keys, etc. It's a shame…

sorry this is not what i expected. I bought an Ascot picnic years ago and thought I'd buy the same bag. The one I have is very well made, slightly larger, heavier, with strong shoulder straps, nice leather trim and aluminum insulation. Excellent. The first one I bought was defective. A cheap plastic insulation was sewn onto the canvas causing it to wrinkle. Revane sent another. This one is better, but not perfect. Still wrinkled but not too noticeable. I don't drink wine but I was looking for a bag to protect my vintage Landers, Frary & Clark glass thermos and this bag is just what I need , if I want to search. It has nice padding and the strap and handle serve my purpose well. I clip the seat belt to the passenger-side headrest and my thermos sits upright in the passenger seat, so I can pull it out easily enough to pour myself a cup of coffee at a red light and put it back in my pocket before the light turns green .
