Not very thick, quite large as they fit me. We live in Alaska and need good quality winter gear so I was very disappointed but if you live in a milder climate these will do!

Well, at the price I should have guessed that they weren't of excellent quality. You are very thin. Like felt. I'm not sure how warm they will be, but I think I can throw on a warm military band if it's too cold. They are good because they don't fall off while the girls are playing outside.
