Black Control Center with Plastic Chain Review

Every Halloween we overdo it a little and turn our front yard into an enchanted wonderland. This year we wanted to put up a fence around our 'cemetery' but needed something between the posts that was light and easy to store but with a sense of foreboding! The black version is ideal for this purpose. I used this chain along with some hooks to hang a tray as a shelf next to my bed. Holds up very well! I thought it could barely hold my alarm clock on its own (it's a big, heavy sunrise simulator), but it gets along just fine with my 20-pound cat, too. I would not recommend buying this chain given the weight, it clearly isn't made for that - it was very easy to sever it with cuticle nippers when I cut it to get the right length for my shelf. . We used this chain in place of a downspout for the gutter on our Seattle porch. We got this idea from Honolulu Airport, where "rain chains" control the speed and trajectory of water falling from an open roof over most sidewalks. We have previously used it for all of the downspouts in our East Bay home in San Francisco. In both locations, this fits well with our Asian fusion architecture.
