I was really worried about getting a USB extender but I needed something in my recording studio for USB controllers that work with ProTools on mine Computers were connected, logic etc. I was concerned about latency, latency etc or poor connectivity. This USB extender is of good quality and works great. I use it to extend the range of my HD webcam. Having an extra 16 feet to move the camera away from my laptop was crucial. The data transfer speed was excellent. The cable arrived on time.

It took me a ridiculous run from a lab bench with a computer to one with a hub. That works great. It seemed to me that some people had problems using devices that consume electricity. A powered hub solves this problem. I am using Debian Linux which recognizes when I connect devices to the cable and hub. When initially installed, connecting from a computer to a hub worked best.

We've used it on electronic drum kits to plug into a computer or interface. Because of this, we were concerned that the signal would be attenuated throughout the length of the extension and cause audio clipping. We experienced ZERO LATE. Fantastic product, fantastic value.
