I bought this scarf to use as a headband so my curls (3b/3c) stay in place while I sleep. I was interested in this scarf because it is so big and I have long hair. The shawl is fairly smooth but lacks the silky sheen one would normally expect from a satin fabric. It's still a good shawl but I'm looking for a larger shawl or cape with the silky satin texture I was hoping for.

My scarves need to be washed and dried hot. It passed the first test (test in the sink with hot water and washing-up liquid) with flying colors. I would have thought the dark green would bleed a little. This is not the case and tissue integrity did not appear to be compromised by exposure to high temperatures. My biggest disappointment with this product is that the colors were much bolder and where it looked yellow in the picture it is actually neon. Orange. I was looking for something quiet and expressive and it wasn't, but I got my money back after contacting customer service and explaining my complaint. The quality is what I expected. Polyester, not silk or satin as the seller claims. If you are ok with lighter colors than the pictures, go for it.
