Bought for my son-in-law so he can listen to baseball games. it's great when ice storms wreak havoc, sometimes a battery operated radio is the only source of local information, and on sleepless nights he can hear the mornings coast to coast and the lost city of Atlantis, UFOs, Bigfoot, etc.

This little radio has great sound and long range when you're outside. As soon as I enter the building, I lose the connection. Considering I bought it to listen to soccer games at work, that's very disappointing. As soon as I step out the door for a break, the reception is great again. I can use it on my patio on those beautiful fall days when I don't want to be glued to the TV but just know where you want to use it.

This radio is clearly based on the Panasonic RF-P50d AM/FM pocket radio, both receivers look almost the same. there is no creaking in the case, which the Panasonic radio suffers from). The sound is also noticeably better compared to the competitor. It's also almost half the price of a Panasonic radio, making the choice easy.

Absolutely cute and surprisingly simple. This radio runs on two AA batteries and the volume control is also an on/off switch as usual. I use it in my office which is in a building where my office has no windows but this radio picks up FM like I'm outside in a parking lot. The volume can be surprisingly loud, and as long as I keep it at a level only I can hear, it still sounds better than the expensive Sony and Panasonic. Buy it and you will love it.

I recently purchased this product and am delighted with the ease of use and light weight; I did change a few batteries though, thinking that was the problem I was having with the signal coming and going. I used new batteries every time. As the sound faded I turned up the volume to hear it, but then all I got was loads of hiss on both AM and FM stations. The louder I turn it on, the louder the noise. I had to keep it very quiet to hear anything. Very disappointed.

I have one complaint: such a small analogue tuner makes it difficult to select a specific frequency. In a city where the airwaves are crowded, you'll have to do a little tinkering to try and catch a station (as opposed to two stations playing at the same time).
