but it seems heavier than other jugs. Problem, I washed it in the dishwasher upon arrival. Then I filled it with very hot water to make iced tea and kraakkk. I've used other jugs with much thinner glass for years to make iced tea with ease. I was surprised and very disappointed. I may have received a rare defective pitcher but don't want to risk it if it happens again.

I ordered this as a last minute Christmas present and the recipient loved it. It is ideal for making iced tea or lemonade for one or two people at a time. It's heavy but not that bulky. After doing some research on the company I bought this item thinking it was made in the UK as I couldn't find one I liked that was made in the USA. Made in Turkey for which they deducted a star.

Inaccurate description on the "big" mug. The description says it is a 32oz glass made in England. This was on the outside label of the bubble wrap when it arrived. Upon unboxing it turned out to be a 2 liter Turkish made jug (with a label on the bottom of the jug). As I needed a 32oz pitcher it is useless for my purpose and I am returning it. Looks like they need to fix the description on the 'big' jug.
