I actually bought this for a Dell M1730 because apparently I got the wrong tip sizes somewhere on the internet. This adapter will fit a standard Dell laptop port but will NOT fit the m1730. I know I took a risk. However, this adapter is great and I'm sure it will be a good choice for the laptops it was designed for, as well as many Pico power supplies for small PC builds.

I will no longer use it for the time being. This review is to say. This thing is huge. The charging box is 6 inches wide and 10 inches long. Much more than a typical wall charger. Something to think about.

The AC adapter works great, looks solid and is an original HP charger. For people not expecting it, that's huge. The weight is at least 2 or 3 pounds and the PSU is about 8 x 4 x 1.5 inches. There's also a very faint green light to indicate when the power supply is plugged into an always-on power supply, which I know can be annoying depending on where and how you're using it. But it works great, charges fast and feels very durable.

So far I like this new 230w PSU. The end that plugs into my HP EliteBook-8560p has a molded 90 degree bend that stays connected to the back of the laptop much better than a straight connector. The PSU shown has a straight plug, but the one I received has a 90 degree bend, which I consider a definite improvement. The AC adapter runs much cooler and charges the battery faster when I use the laptop and charge the battery at the same time. The cheaper, smaller 90W power adapters didn't last long…
