A little cheap I don't know how long it will last

A little disappointed but I'm sure if you live closer to the stations it would be great. It is advertised as something more. NOT as good as my old Sony and barely works when camping or traveling. The volume button is already in doubt as it appears to be dangling. For what I can find it is about the cost. Again, consider bringing the person closer to what they want to hear and think it would work great for them. Very light and small enough, so suitable for those who hike or hike again as long as

Overall a good radio, value for money, slightly cheaper than plastic!

Pros - Quality packaging - Attractive red color (red not pink) - Good reception, speakers - Good thickness - Overall good design - Bought on sale for $12 (including shipping). So good value for money. Cons - cheap plastic, radio feels light. If you need an analog pocket radio for around $20, go for the Sangean SR35. This is a quality radio with an amazing speaker. You will not regret it. I recommend Sangean SR35 over Sony ICFP26 for speakers only. I have attached a photo.

  • Few competitors

Surprisingly good tuning

I wanted an inexpensive, lightweight AM/FM two-way radio. This radio is great! As a bonus, it *looks* included with AFC (Auto Frequency Control/Auto Fine Tuning). I didn't find this in the documentation, but the behavior is similar to AFC. Tune into a station using the analogue dial and if it's free it appears to stay that way (locked) until you tune into another station. Surprisingly good AM and FM clarity. The speaker quality is what you would expect from a small/cheap radio, but it delivers…

Excellent Transitradio

The main issue for me was the clarity and the transmitter is there when I turn it on. I listen to the radio every morning and it's frustrating when there's no station and I have to fine-tune it every time. This little radio is top notch! I turn it on and voila, the transmitter is there and the sound is clear. I have a unilateral hearing loss and can understand radio well with my good ear. Plus my grandson loves it so guess what's under the tree for him. There are also several colors that I…

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • definitely bad product

Well it's not Sony in terms of external speaker sound quality OR reception, but it costs less and has some positive qualities. Lighter than the Sony and the silver color makes it easier to find in my visually impaired friend's backpack. The black model has a contrasting white print for the controls, which is noticeably easier to see than the Sony black and white print. Slightly weak sound from the built-in speaker, but good with headphones. Great battery life. Cons: Terrible reception even with
