One wire is used to power the video and camera

I may have missed this important point in the product description, but most long camera cables have two separate wires. One for video and one for camera power, this cable has both in a small diameter conduit. Yes it seems to work and the color and video are fine but I really wouldn't have bought it if I knew it did. Again, everything works perfectly and I was very pleased to receive the order very quickly.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Nothing

FLOPPY VIDEO for security camera cable

I needed a longer cable to run further than the 60 foot cable that came with the Swann camera. I tested this cable before launch and it was fine. When it installed it seemed to have good video connection for a week or so, then once showed gray while every other camera was in perfect color. Now the color has returned but indicated an error. The other 6 cameras in the system are fine and will all be installed using the included Swann cables.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Some minor things

Doesn't work on my Lorex system with 4K cameras. Half the size of other cables. It's not about the price of the cable I don't need, it's about running it in the attic. I connected all the cameras as directed prior to installation and they worked great with the cable provided. I then installed the cameras and routed the cable, but one camera needed more cables so I ordered this one thinking all the cables were the same (wrong). Save yourself!

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some issues

Low quality in security and surveillance

Don't buy this cable. The price also convinced me. $10 versus the $25 local option at Lowe's. As soon as it arrived he remarked that they weren't two separate chords like the shorter ones that came with the system and were available from Lowe's and didn't sound all that great overall, but I thought I'd give it a try . In less than a day, the image quality drops to utter crap and randomly returns to normal. Now I have to disassemble the camera, plug the cable back in and reroute the new cable…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Tiny cable equals bad picture

I would return this cable but waited too long to open the box and use it. First, the photos here are very deceiving. The cable is shown coiled up so you can't see that the video and power sides somehow merge into a small single cable just the size of the sides. This is not a typical extension cord design like most of these cords. The result is poor quality unshielded cable that makes it almost impossible to get a good picture without horizontal lines from electrical noise. But you get what you…

Pros
  • understandable even to the old
Cons
  • Neutral
