I'm so tired of kids wrapping half an avocado in cling film. I had half a dozen lying around the fridge because I just threw them all over the place. Now it's the only place they go. No waste, no added plastic and keeps them fresh.

Cut an avocado in half. I wrapped one half in 2 layers of cling film Glad Cling Wrap. The 2nd half was placed in the avocado keeper. After two days in the fridge, both halves were browned and looked almost the same. Pictures show before and after.Jan

I'm better at wrapping an avocado half in a bag or plastic wrap after squeezing the lime juice. I used lime juice on this Keeper but after a day the avocado was still quite brown, it just lets/trap too much air. What I saved for convenience I lost in the flesh I had to scrape off.

This avocado keeper does nothing to keep avocados fresh. The old adage "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" reflects my experience with this product. Although it was cheap I wouldn't waste money on this item, oops it's too late - and there's no turning back. However, I will not purchase any products manufactured and sold under Progressive International's Prepworks brand.

This is nothing more than an avocado-shaped container. But it doesn't seal as well as a dish bin. There's nothing special about that. Just use an avocado sized storage container and store it upside down. Spend $5 to buy more avocados. Wrapping half an avocado in cling film is better than this product. I bought this because I eat half an avocado every day and I felt wasteful every time I use a new plastic bag. It doesn't work any better or worse than a plastic bag, but it's eco-friendly! Any avocado storage device will not prevent the avocado from browning if it doesn't remove the air from the container.
