4 cups to fill a large cup

I bought a single serve "recommended by Amazon" coffee press but it ended up filling the bottom of my cups (I have large European cups), so i bought 4 cups i have enough for 2 refills? no, she fills 1 large cup and that's it. I didn't give it a bad rating because it works 10x better than the one shot version and it makes great coffee with no mess and no need to put a filter on it, that's plus 2 scoops of coffee, wait 5 minutes and press. and then serve very lightly

Love this French Press

This is the first glass French Press that hasn't broken for me in the first month of use I've had this coffee maker for just over half a year. so it was convenient for me to travel. I use it to brew hot coffee in the mornings during the week and occasionally a small personal iced coffee. I would definitely recommend this French Press to anyone who is the only coffee drinker in the house and is considering buying for a friend

HARD PASS: Poorly designed spout

I've had a lot of presses over the past 20 years. This was the hardest part to cast CLEAN. When you pour "normal" (compared to other presses I've had) the coffee comes out fine FIRST and then runs down the sides. The only way to counteract this is to increase the pour angle, which increases the speed of coffee movement and causes loss of control. Like this. Pour slowly: dripping down = loss of control. Pour too much and overfill your cup = loss control. Damned if you did, damned if you didn't…

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • So far so good

That only lasted for a couple of months. I've come to terms with the fact that it was impossible to lay flat or pour nicely, the glass was so thin it shattered after just a few months. While yes, the spoon fell 6-10 inches off the counter, into the sink and landed on it, I doubt it should be more stable. The branded version editions are better in every way. The glass is thicker, the frame is stronger, the screen is thinner, and the spout is more convenient for pouring. Spend $5-$10 more overall

  • Positive only

Usable but poor quality

I have used Bodum French Presses of various sizes for decades. I was looking for something between small and medium and found this one. The size is good and the squat design makes it easier to clear the floor than the smaller/larger style. The design is clearly reminiscent of the metal-framed Bodums, however the metal used is very thin - too thin to be anything but 'cheap'. The four legs don't touch the stand together (it wobbles) and I've bent a leg while squeezing coffee that wasn't evenly…

It's tiny and perfect for one serving

I don't drink coffee but my husband does so this is perfect for our needs. It's small and easy to clean. We had a larger Bodum press but the carafe broke after just a month. (Honestly I tapped the edge lightly with a spoon and it broke, I just wasn't impressed enough with their customer service to want to buy a second one but this is not a Bodum review). This press makes a solid impression. and the piston slowly moves down. Again, this applies to a single shot of coffee, but is perfect for…

The disposable press broke after the first use

I have serious doubts about the definition of 4 cups. From one use of the product I made a cup of coffee because that's all the press can do at once. Maybe my mug is a little bigger than a regular mug or mug, but it's not a 20 ounce mug, it's probably not even a 16 ounce mug. Size issues aside, which isn't such a big deal, it just means I get a fresher cup of coffee every time I want coffee, the press broke after one use. The bottom of the jar broke when I tried to clean the inside. The press…

Little French Press

I'm not a fan of cafes, but I like this little thing, the first in my life. I specifically ordered this to keep in my office at work for when I need a cup of real coffee, not the coffee-flavored water that my co-workers love. It works exceptionally well. I read reviews where people stated that the product bursts when hot water is added. I decided to temper it with hot water first before adding coffee and coffee temperature water. Very impressed with the straight-forward simplicity as well as…

Warning: only makes a 12 ounce cup of coffee

The definition of 4 cups is just plain wrong. I know companies like Bodum Presses define a cup as 4 oz, but this company defines a cup as 3 oz for some unknown reason. The bottom line is that this is a 14 ounce container that holds 12 ounces of liquid + ground coffee, so it only makes a 12 ounce coffee mug and no more dripping. If that's what you need, then read on. Aside from the glass tumbler, the materials are cheaper compared to Bodum, but Bodum costs about 2x more for the same size, making
