Bought this case after accidentally damaging my old case. It's a big step up from what I had before and I have nothing but good things to say about it. It offers excellent ventilation, which is important because I often run multiple programs that tax the processor to do their work at the same time. I also carry my laptop everywhere with me, so it's not always treated in the most delicate way, but the case protects it well from damage. Good product. Very hard material. But I was unlucky that the two pieces I received didn't fit my 2020 MacBook Pro13 M1 chip model. I bought one first, the screen part fit well. The lower right side did not properly engage the latches. I replaced it with another one, tried replacing the bottom, this time a click on the front and a click on the right side don't fit properly. I have returned both. Once inserted into a MacBook, it's too heavy. I would use it if it fits properly on all 4 sides.

This case is very strong and durable which is great but I literally can't fit the bottom of this on my computer. The top snapped into place normally, but the bottom moved about halfway and didn't advance any further. So just one bottom corner just popped out somehow. This is very frustrating and I think trying to turn this thing on and off is putting undue stress and strain on my computer. This product is ALMOST compatible with the 2020 MacBook Pro model. It's so close to a fit that I ordered a replacement because I thought it would have otherwise warped from being left in the North Carolina heat. Again with the same problem. It feels like it should match the 2289, but there's a slight crease down the middle. Otherwise, this case is BIG! Yesterday I bought and installed a case to protect my new MacBook Pro. Installation was easy so I expect to enjoy this product. The only question/concern I have is that my Mac now turns itself on as soon as I open the top cover. In other words, I don't have to hit the "on" button. The first thing that struck me about this new case was that it was almost impossible to determine the orientation of the top of the case. As usual things coming out of Chinese factories have a very cryptic twist and this one is no exception. However, with a magnifying glass and common sense, I managed to get it back in place in about 10 minutes. Love this case! Folding legs on the back are the most convenient and provide good ventilation. The corners of the lid seem to provide good protection for the corners of my computer. The overall design doesn't detract from Apple's sleek metal look. I am very happy. The only problem I had, and it wasn't too bad, was that the lid snapped easily. This is a good buy!
