I wouldn't say the case is rubberized. This case looks and feels the same as the hard plastic case I replaced. The keyboard protector works well but doesn't perfectly match the backlit letters/numbers on my keyboard. This is a minor issue and does not affect use. I just hope this replacement case doesn't crack like its predecessor did.

This is a very good price to protect our new amazing MacBook jewel. I wouldn't say it's rubberized like silicone rubber, but it's not as hard plastic as previous Speck cases I've had. The cover fits well but the pink doesn't match the computer's rose gold. I love the original rose gold color, this cap hides the beautiful color and changes color to a hotter pink which I don't really like. The keyboard cover also fits, but the letters don't match and I have to remove it to see the letters. They had to erase the keyboard if they couldn't match the letters.

I've had this carbon sleeve for my MacBook for 18 months now. It arrived on time from the seller. Easily removed with a damp cloth. I like almost everything about this case. Its rubbery plastic feels nice and offers just enough flexibility to make it easier to install or remove than hard plastic cases. (I accidentally snapped the tab on my old hard case trying to remove it. This kid doesn't have that problem!) It's also lighter and less obtrusive than the hard plastic case I had previously. 100% satisfied! Installing it on my MacBook was very easy. The rubberized keyboard cover fits perfectly and really saved the day. I work on construction sites where it is very dusty and dirty. I used my MacBook without this case and cover and had to return it within 3 weeks to have it cleaned due to all the dirt under the keys. Very happy with this purchase and recommend to everyone.

I like it a lot! I have a frost that is still transparent enough to show the Apple logo. It makes the rose gold color a bit lighter, which I actually prefer! The keyboard cover (silicone?) is also pretty cool and pretty thin. Contrary to what some reviews said, the letters and symbols fit my keyboard perfectly. UPDATE 1 star 8/18/2018: I've had this item less than 4 months and it's already starting to crack and fall apart, especially around the corners. The MacBook has only left my house once since I bought it, it has a nice soft sleeve which I wear when I carry it around the house and there hasn't been a single drop/drop.
