📸 Profoto Black Air Remote 901031 Review

When you buy Profoto products, you can count on quality. I bought "Profoto 901031 Air Remote (Black)" and after a month it stopped working.

I have never had a problem with this remote control. I bought this to replace my original because I left the batteries in it for a long time and they leaked and ruined the electronics. my fault

Profoto claims this remote can do high speed shutter sync, but I couldn't get it to sync shutter speeds over 1/200 on my shutterless Nikon. The TTL version of this syncs up to 1/8000 (but only controls 3 groups, which still confuses me!).

I recently received this in a D1 1000/1000 Studio Kit. It has completely changed my photography - not only is the timing perfect, but being able to adjust the lighting, turn the modeling light on or off, etc. from there is just amazing. No more helpers climbing the boom to make adjustments etc. Worth every penny.

Please do not buy from Cleveland Camera, LLC, also known as Pixel Connection. They sent me a defective item which I sent back. They told me to file an AZ claim with Revain and said the serial number doesn't match, even though that's exactly what they sent me and did. You are dishonest.

This remote control is perfect for my D1. At first it feels light because it's plastic, but it's durable, like everything Profoto makes. I have two remotes because you never know and it's best to have a backup. Keep an extra set of batteries handy as you will need them if you use it day in and day out. A little detail I love about this remote control is that the letters and numbers glow in the dark.

This is a solid trigger with good features. I use Profoto A1 flashes but I have several Canon flashes. I chose this model because it has inputs that allow you to control flashes from other manufacturers by connecting them to this unit with a cable. Unfortunately, this device does not support high-speed syncing. I must have missed it in the description when I bought it. All I had to do was buy the Profoto TTL which cost another $439.
